The Legacy Academy Activity Center is an indoor playground and recreation facility located in Fitchburg about two blocks south of the AMC Star Cinema. It is designed to entertain children between toddler age to age 12. The academy offers several youth programs including daily Youngsters Open Gym sessions, an all-day Summer Camp, an After School program, a Before School program, an All-Day Care program during the school year, and a Birthday Party program.
The 2016 Summer Camp program includes a daily field trip venues such as the Kalahari & Chula Vista indoor/outdoor water parks at the Dells, activity-filled area campgrounds, weekly movies & pizza luncheons at the Rocky Rococo theater, the Timbavati Wildlife Park at the Dells, the Animal Gardens & Dancing Horses Theater at Lake Geneva, the Madison Children's Museum, the Dane County Fair and Wisconsin State Fair, Pump-It-Up - "The Inflatable Party Zone", the House on the Rock in Spring Green, Fast Forward Roller Skating, Olbrich Gardens, UltraZone Laser Tag, the Milwaukee County Zoo, and many more attractions.
The Summer Camp program is offered on weekdays only and is for children 7 to 12 years of age. Enrollments are available for 1 to 13 weeks. The 2016 weekly tuition is $195 for one child, $340 for two siblings, or $440 for three siblings. There is also an optional daily tuition rate of $49 per child though we do require that any children enrolled during a given week attend the program for a minimum of two days. There is no tuition charge for any weeks that a child does not attend the program.
The academy is open for student drop-offs by 6:30 am during the summer and the field trip bus typically departs at 8:00 am or 9:00 am. The children return from their field trip by 4:00 pm and the parent pickup time is anytime from 4:00 pm to 6:15 pm. Parents are asked to prepare a box or sack lunch for their youngsters on most days.

Legacy Academy's After School Program is offered to students attending the following Verona schools: Stoner Prairie, Country View, Glacier Edge, Sugar Creek, Core Knowledge, New Century, Badger Ridge, Savanna Oaks, and Verona International. It also serves the following schools located in Madison: St. Maria Goretti, Lighthouse, Leopold, Chavez, Huegel, Olson, and Shorewood Hills. Bus or van transportation is provided from all of these schools to the academy and the parent pickup time is anytime up to 6:15 pm.
The After School program gives the youngsters a chance to enjoy some free play time each day using our indoor playground as well as some organized group activities each week such as Arts & Crafts, gymnastics tumbling, gym games, and reading sessions. The weekly tuition for the After School program during the 2016-17 school year will be $60 for one child or $100 for two or three siblings. This program is for children 7 to 12 years old.
The Before School Program at Legacy Academy is offered on Monday mornings only during the school year to Verona students. The academy is open by 7:00 am for student drop-offs and we transport the children to their respective Verona schools in time for the "late start" of their Monday morning classes. This program is available to students attending any of the Verona elementary, charter, or middle schools.
The weekly tuition for the Before School program during the 2016-17 school year will be $15 for one child or $25 for two or three siblings. It is offered for children 5 to 12 years old (the age range for this program has been approved by the Wisconsin State Dept. of Children and Families).
An All-Day Care Program is provided during the school year whenever area schools are closed. On such days the academy is open by 7:00 am for student drop-offs and the daily parent pickup time is anytime up to 6:15 pm. This program is available for any students attending Madison metro or suburban schools. The daily tuition is $35 for one child, $60 for two siblings, or $75 for three siblings. We do ask that parents prepare a box or a sack lunch for their attending children. The All-Day Care program is available for children 7 to 12 years of age.
For a unique and memorable Birthday Party, bring your group to the Legacy Academy Activity Center! A two-hour private party is available at an affordable flat rate of $160. The Birthday Party program is available to the public and our comfortable indoor playground provides an ideal venue for youth parties for kids of all ages. There is so much to do at the academy that there will be no need for you to plan any organized party activities for the children. Of course, a party hosted at the academy will also save wear and tear resulting from any parties otherwise held at your home. Party hosts are expected to supervise the children in attendance at their party.
For those who prefer to host a longer party, a three-hour Saturday or Sunday private party starting at our last party slot time of 7:00 pm is also an option. Three-hour parties may also be scheduled on weeknights starting anytime between 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm. The cost for a three-hour private party is $240.
A smaller scale birthday party option is our "Youngsters Open Gym Party" which enables you to host your child's birthday party during a Youngsters Open Gym session which are held on weekdays and from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on weekends. The academy's small recreation room will table-seat up to 16 children and has couch seating for an additional 8 persons. The cost for this type of party is only $5.00 per child - - no room rental fee is imposed and no down payment is required. This is a great party format for a small group though it does have the limitation that your group will be sharing use of the academy's indoor playground and large recreation room with other families attending the concurrent Youngsters Youngsters Open Gym session.
Youngsters Open Gym sessions are held daily year-round at the academy. The usual open gym hours are from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm on weekdays while weekend open gym hours are 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday & Sunday mornings (please call or check our web site to confirm current hours). The admission fee for each two-hour open gym session is just $5.00 per child with no charge for supervising adults or tots under the age of one. The Open Gym sessions are intended for children from toddler age to age 12.
