1 on 1 Mentoring

Neighborhood House Community Center

Neighborhood House’s Youth-Adult Mentoring Program matches younger adults with local youth ages 7-18.

The mentor's role is to spend quality, one-on-one time with them and be a friend and confidant. We encourage our pairs to have as much fun as possible and develop a close relationship. All programming takes place at Neighborhood House; as mentors and mentees become more comfortable with each other, they may take field trips in the nearby community.

Mentoring pairs meet for (at least) one hour twice a week to strengthen the youths’ academics, social skills, and self-esteem.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Joe Lazar at: joe@neighborhoodhousemadison.org

We can match youth with adult mentors with experience working with children with disabilities, but it may take longer.
