Mini Dance Art Camp

4 Saturdays 9:00am-12:00pm
For first time and returning dancers, ages 3-7
Parents give permission for off-site activity on registration form.

Mini Camp is a half-day (3hr) brimming with energy, curiosity, creativity, and fun for first time and returning dancers ages 3-7. Dance activities get children thinking creatively and interactively to problem solve and better understand space, time, and energy - the pillars of dance. Dancers also participate in off-campus excursions to nearby MMoCA to view artwork and participate in related arts activities, which are then brought back to the studio as material for dance exploration. For some portions of the day the camp will break into 2 groups so the younger and older kids can work in smaller groups with their peers. There will be a designated snack time for kids to eat goodies packed from home. Kanopy students may be taken off-site by instructors (walking distance) for dance/art educational opportunities.
